A REST API for AI video clipping
What the app does to turn a long video into clips, available from your own code: send a URL or a file and get back clips with their metadata, or finished exports with your template.
- Create clip jobs from a video URL or an uploaded file, with the same options as the app: number of clips, minimum and maximum duration, edit type, a prompt describing which moments to find, a saved template and the language.
- Check the status of every job.
- Clips with metadata: title, hook, caption text, timings, score and category for each one.
- Exports with your template, delivered through short-lived download links.
- Webhooks for
job.completed,job.failedandexport.completed, signed with HMAC-SHA256. - Idempotency keys, so retrying a request never creates the same job twice.

API and enterprise: frequently asked questions
Is there an API for AI video clipping?
Yes. TONTRIA has a public REST API to create clip jobs from a URL or an uploaded file, check their status, get the clips with their metadata and export them with your template. The documentation is at clips.tontria.com/api/v1/docs.
How much does the API cost?
Contact us: usage, quotas and price are agreed with each company, based on your volume and your integration. Write to us at tontria.ai@gmail.com.
Which plans include the API?
The user plans (Free, Creator, Pro and Label) don’t include the API. We enable it for companies and integrations, with a proposal tailored to you. Once it is enabled, you create and revoke your API keys in the developer portal of the app.
Can I offer TONTRIA under my own brand?
Yes, with white-label: your name, logo, colors and domain, emails with your name and the “Powered by TONTRIA” mention turned off. We set it up together with you.
How do the webhooks work?
When a job finishes or fails, or an export is ready, we send the event (job.completed, job.failed or export.completed) to the URL you choose. Each request is signed with HMAC-SHA256 and includes a timestamp, so you can verify it.
Can I make lyric videos or release assets through the API?
Not yet: they are coming soon. Today the API covers clips and exports.
