Turn your live show into clips for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
Upload the recording of a concert, a live session or a livestream. TONTRIA finds the moments that stand on their own, keeps the singer in a vertical frame and adds captions that follow every sung word.
1 credit = 1 minute of video processed. The free plan includes 30 credits to start, no card needed.
From a full show to a week of clips
The same steps work for a 12-minute session or a two-hour concert.
Paste the YouTube link or upload the file
Your own show, a session you filmed or a livestream you have the rights to. The language of the songs and the talking between them is detected automatically.
Choose “viral – sung”
This edit stays with the voice: it keeps the singer in the vertical frame and cuts to the band or the crowd so the clip has movement.
Ask for the moments you want
Use the shortcuts — chorus or hook, crowd reaction, the story behind a song, a release announcement — or write your own request. You choose how many clips (up to 20) and how long they should be.
Review, adjust and export
Each clip comes with a virality score, its captions and a draft hook, titles, description and hashtags. Trim the start or end, fix a word and export in 9:16.
What a live clip needs that a talking-head clip doesn’t
Most clipping tools look for sentences. A concert is mostly singing, crowd noise and band shots.
A crop that follows the singer
The vertical reframe tracks the face of whoever is singing or talking, instead of a fixed center crop that leaves the singer half out of frame.
Captions that follow the song
Karaoke captions highlight each word as it is sung. People read along — and sing along in the comments.
Crowd and band moments
Ask for the crowd singing the chorus, a reaction, a solo or the moment you announce the next date.
On-brand captions
Pick the font, colors, stroke and shadow of the artist, add the logo, and save it as a template for every show.
Ready-to-post text
For every clip you get a hook, three titles, a description and hashtags in the language of the clip, to copy and adjust.
Every format from one clip
Open any clip in the editor to export square, 4:5 and horizontal versions, up to 4K on Pro.
Why live footage is the best raw material an artist has
A live recording is proof. It shows the voice without studio help, the band playing, and people who know the words. That’s exactly what makes a stranger stop scrolling and look up the song. The problem is that nobody watches a 90-minute concert on a phone. The value is inside the show, in thirty-second pieces.
Cutting those pieces by hand means watching the whole recording, marking timestamps, cropping every shot to vertical so the singer stays in frame, and typing captions line by line. For one show, that’s a day of editing. For a tour, it never happens.
What TONTRIA does with a live recording
TONTRIA transcribes the full show, songs and talking alike, and reads it to find moments that work on their own: a chorus with the crowd, a story before a song, a funny exchange with the audience, the announcement of a new release. It proposes up to 20 clips per project, with the length you choose — the default is 30 to 90 seconds.
The viral – sung edit was designed for performances. It keeps the voice carrying the clip, keeps the singer in the 9:16 frame and cuts to reactions so the short doesn’t feel static. For the talking parts between songs, viral – spoken follows whoever is speaking.
Tip: post clips from the same show over several days instead of all at once. Different songs reach different people, and you learn which part of the set connects.
Good sources for live clips
- Full concerts and festival sets filmed from the front of house or with several cameras.
- Live sessions — acoustic versions, studio performances, radio sessions.
- Livestreams on YouTube, including the talking parts and Q&As.
- Rehearsals filmed on a phone: rough, but honest, and often the most shared.
Where this fits in a release
A live clip is one of the strongest pieces you can post in release week, between the announcement and the “out now”. If you are planning a release, the release week content plan shows where each clip fits, and release assets creates the countdown pieces from the same song link.
Working with a whole roster? Brand templates keep each artist’s captions and logo consistent, and the Label plan includes up to 5 team members. See TONTRIA for labels.
Live performance clips: questions
What app should I use to clip my live shows or livestreams?
One that handles long videos, lets you ask for specific moments (for example, “when the crowd sings the chorus”), keeps the singer inside the vertical frame and exports 9:16 with captions. TONTRIA Clips does that from a YouTube link or an uploaded video; 1 credit = 1 minute of video processed.
Does it work with a whole concert, not just one song?
Yes. Upload the full recording and TONTRIA looks across the whole show. One credit is one minute of video processed, so a 60-minute show uses about 60 credits, and every clip it produces is included.
Will the captions understand the lyrics?
TONTRIA transcribes the singing and the talking between songs word by word. Live mixes with loud crowds can produce the odd wrong word, so you can correct any word in the captions before exporting.
Can I use a livestream recording?
Yes, as long as you own it or have permission to use it. Paste the YouTube link of the stream or upload the file.
How do I clip a YouTube livestream?
1) Copy the link of the finished YouTube stream (yours or one you have permission to use) or upload the file. 2) Pick “viral – spoken” if the stream is talk and fan Q&A, or “viral – sung” if it’s music. 3) Ask for the moments you want — for example, “when I talk about the next release” — and how many clips (up to 20), 30 to 90 seconds by default. 4) Check the captions, trim the start or end and export in 9:16 for Shorts, TikTok and Reels. A 60-minute stream uses about 60 credits, with every clip included.
Can I clip a Twitch or TikTok LIVE stream?
Yes, from the file. TONTRIA Clips takes a YouTube link or an uploaded video, not Twitch or TikTok links. On Twitch, download your own past broadcast from the Creator Dashboard (Content → Video Producer → ⋯ → Download) while it is still saved; on TikTok, use your own recording of the LIVE, for example the local recording from your streaming software. Then upload the file and pick “viral – spoken” for talk or “viral – sung” for music. Only streams that are yours or that you have permission to use.
Can I post concert clips on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube without copyright problems?
If it is your own show, the clips are yours to post — but the songs, and the recording if a label owns it, have rights holders too. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube have licensing deals with music companies, and their matching systems (Content ID on YouTube, Rights Manager on Instagram and Facebook) recognize audio: a claimed clip can be muted, show ads for the owner or, less often, be blocked. Covers of other artists’ songs are the most common reason. If you are signed, ask your label before posting; if you filmed someone else’s concert as a fan, the music and the performance are not yours. For contract questions, TONTRIA Law explains them in plain words.
Can I ask for the crowd singing, not the artist talking?
Yes. Use the “crowd reaction” or “chorus / hook” shortcuts, or write a request like “when the audience sings the chorus”. The clips that match your request appear first.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 30 credits to start (one time, no card needed), exports up to 720p and adds a TONTRIA watermark. Paid plans start at USD 10 a month. See pricing.
