When TONTRIA is the better choice

  • You want the release done, not designed: paste the song link and get the lyric video, the Canvas and the countdown and out-now pieces in the same look.
  • You have long recordings — shows, sessions, interviews — and need many clips with the singer in frame.
  • You release often or manage several artists and want the same system every time.

When CapCut may suit you better

  • You enjoy editing by hand and want full creative freedom on every frame.
  • You need beat-synced edits or a specific template style.
  • You only need one short video and don’t need the rest of the release.

Many artists use both: TONTRIA for the release kit and the clips, a manual editor for a special piece. See all alternatives and comparisons.

Frequently asked questions

Is CapCut free?

CapCut has a free version with basic editing tools and free templates. As of October 9, 2026, its pricing page lists Pro at USD 23.99 a month and says displayed prices are for reference and the final price shows when you sign in. Exports that use premium elements ask for Pro or carry a watermark, according to CapCut’s help center.

Can CapCut make lyric videos?

Yes: CapCut has an Auto lyrics option in its captions tools and lyric templates. TONTRIA starts from a Spotify or YouTube link, brings the official cover and the synced lyrics (or transcribes the singing), and also makes the vertical snippets, the Canvas and the release pieces for the same song.

Can I use CapCut’s music in my release content?

CapCut’s materials license (updated January 22, 2026) limits its Standard Sounds to personal, non-commercial use, and its Commercial Sounds to sharing within CapCut and TikTok. For your own release, you will normally use your own song — which you can do in either tool.

Where is CapCut stronger?

It is a full editor on desktop, web and mobile, with a very large template library, beat sync (on mobile and desktop) and free Spotify Canvas templates. If you want to design every frame yourself, it gives you more freedom.
