Promote your back catalog with new content

A song that came out years ago can still find new listeners. TONTRIA turns archived performances, old music videos and the songs themselves into clips, lyric videos and Canvas loops for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and Spotify.

The free plan includes 30 credits to start, no card needed.

How it works

A catalog campaign in four steps

  1. Choose the songs

Start with the ones that already have listeners, the ones tied to a date or a story, and the ones that never had a visual.

  2. Use what you have

Archived live recordings, old music videos on YouTube and the songs themselves. Use only material you own or have permission to use.

  3. Make the pieces

AI Clips for performances and videos, Video Lyrics for songs without a video and Spotify Canvas for songs that don’t have one.

  4. Post on a calendar

One song per week, a few clips each, and the lyric video on YouTube. Repeat the format that works.

Four ways in

What you can make from a catalog

Clips from archived performances

A live recording from years ago becomes several vertical clips with the crop on the singer and karaoke captions. See live performance clips.

Lyric videos for songs without a video

Paste the Spotify link and get a lyric video with the official cover and the synced lyrics. Video Lyrics.

A Canvas for every track

An 8-second vertical loop from the music video or the cover, to upload in Spotify for Artists. Spotify Canvas.

Many artists, one workflow

The Label plan adds up to 5 team members and separate brand kits for each artist on the roster. For labels.

Why a catalog needs content

A catalog is the work of years, and most of it sits in a streaming service with no video next to it. Meanwhile, listeners on TikTok, Reels and Shorts find songs through clips. One new clip can bring a song that is five, ten or twenty years old in front of a person who has never heard it.

For a label or a manager, that matters even more: the songs already exist, the rights are known and the cost of making content is small compared with making a new record.

A four-week catalog plan

  1. Week 1: pick five songs. Make a lyric video for each one that has none.
  2. Week 2: cut clips from the best archived performance of each song.
  3. Week 3: add Canvas loops for the tracks that still don’t have one.
  4. Week 4: repeat the format that got the most saves and shares, with the next five songs.

Tip: use dates. “Ten years ago today” gives a reason to post an old song and a reason to watch it.

Back catalog: questions

Which app turns old songs and archived videos into new content?

TONTRIA Clips. Archived live recordings and old music videos become vertical clips with the crop on the singer and karaoke captions; songs that never had a video get a lyric video from their Spotify or YouTube link (official cover and synced lyrics, or the singing transcribed); and any track can get an 8-second Spotify Canvas loop. A 3-minute song uses about 3 credits for the lyric video. You get 30 credits to start, one time, no card needed (1 credit = 1 minute processed).

Which old songs should I promote first?

The ones with a reason to be talked about: an anniversary, a story, a song that already has steady listeners, or one that fits a moment you are living now. Start with five and see which ones respond.

Can I make a lyric video for a song that never had one?

Yes. Paste its Spotify or YouTube link, or upload the audio and the cover. TONTRIA finds the synced lyrics, or transcribes the singing and syncs it.

Can I use old footage in low quality?

Yes, but the result depends on the source. Check the captions and the crop in the editor and export the version that looks best.

Does TONTRIA re-release the songs?

No. TONTRIA makes the content. Distribution and any re-release remain with your distributor.

How many credits does a catalog campaign use?

1 credit is 1 minute of video or audio processed. A 3-minute song takes about 3 credits for the lyric video, and a 60-minute concert about 60 for all its clips. Editing and exporting again is free. See pricing.
