TikTok & Reels for musicians

TikTok and Reels content for musicians, without filming every day

Most musicians already have enough footage for months of posts: shows, sessions, interviews, the music video. TONTRIA turns it into vertical clips with captions, plus lyric snippets and release pieces for every song.

Free plan: 30 credits to start, no card needed. Paid plans from USD 10 a month.

How it works

One long video a week, posts every day

  1. Record or collect one long video

A rehearsal, a live session, an interview, a show. It doesn’t need to be new.

  2. Let TONTRIA find the clips

Paste the link or upload it; ask for the chorus, a crowd reaction, the story behind a song.

  3. Add your look

Captions, fonts, colors and logo saved as a template, so every post looks like you.

  4. Post through the week

Schedule YouTube Shorts from TONTRIA and get reminders with the text ready for TikTok and Instagram.

What you can post

Content types that work for musicians

Live and session clips

The chorus live, an acoustic take, the crowd singing — cut and reframed automatically.

Lyric snippets

15–30 seconds of the hook with the lyrics on screen, from Video Lyrics.

Stories and interviews

The story behind a song in under a minute, from any interview.

Release moments

Coming soon, countdown and out-now pieces from release assets.

Music video cut-downs

Vertical versions of each part of the music video.

Re-cuts of what worked

A new hook or caption style for the clip that performed best.

The problem isn’t ideas, it’s editing time

Most musicians know they should post more. What stops them is the time between having a video and having a post: finding the moment, cropping it to vertical, keeping the singer in frame, typing captions, writing the text. Multiply that by five posts a week and it is a part-time job.

TONTRIA does that part. You decide what to post and when; the cutting, reframing, captions and draft texts are done for you.

A weekly routine that works

  • Monday: record or pick one long video (a rehearsal, a session, an interview).
  • Tuesday: process it, review the suggested clips and choose five.
  • Wednesday to Sunday: post one clip a day. Watch which one gets saved and shared.
  • Every release: add the release pieces and a lyric snippet to the plan.

TikTok and Reels for musicians: questions

Which app makes TikToks and Reels from the videos a musician already has?

TONTRIA Clips. Upload a show, a session, an interview or the music video (or paste the YouTube link) and it returns vertical 9:16 clips with captions that follow every word, sung or spoken. From the song link it also makes lyric snippets and the release assets. For TikTok and Instagram it reminds you at the time you chose, with the text ready to paste. 30 credits to start, one time, no card needed.

How often should a musician post on TikTok and Reels?

Whatever you can keep up for months. Three to five posts a week is a realistic target for most independent artists, especially when the posts come from one long video recorded once a week.

Does TONTRIA post directly to TikTok and Instagram?

TONTRIA publishes and schedules directly on YouTube. For TikTok and Instagram it reminds you at the time you chose, with the text ready to paste and the file to download.

Do I need to dance or follow trends?

No. Live clips, stories behind songs, lyric snippets and behind-the-scenes content work for many musicians. The guide to growing on TikTok as a musician has 12 ideas that don’t require dancing.

Can I use the same clip on TikTok, Reels and Shorts?

Yes. All three use vertical 9:16 video. Export one clean file and upload it to each app.

Can musicians get paid by TikTok for their videos?

Through TikTok's Creator Rewards Program (page updated September 10, 2026), only for original videos over 1 minute with at least 1,000 views in the For You feed, in 1080p or higher; duets, stitches and copied content with minimal edits don't count. The account must be personal, 18+, with 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days, in the US, UK, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico or Brazil. For a musician that means a full live song, a session take or the story behind a song — not the 15-second hook. In TONTRIA, set the minimum clip length above 60 seconds; paid plans export in 1080p or 4K. TONTRIA doesn't guarantee monetization.
