A Specterr alternative that syncs the lyrics for you
Specterr is an online editor for audio visualizers and lyric videos: you upload your MP3 or WAV, pick a preset, type or paste the lyrics and set their timing on a timeline. TONTRIA Clips starts from your song link instead — it brings the official cover and the synced lyrics, so the lyric video is done without timing a single line — and also makes the Canvas and vertical clips from your shows and interviews.
The free plan includes 30 credits to start, no card needed.

When TONTRIA is the better choice
- You don’t want to time the lyrics by hand: TONTRIA brings the synced lyrics from the song link. See the lyric video maker and the lyric video templates.
- The release needs more than one video: the lyric video, the Canvas, the release pieces and vertical clips with karaoke captions in one plan.
- You already have footage — shows, sessions, interviews — and want the best moments cut for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
- You make a few lyric videos a month: credits cost less than a plan priced per video.
When Specterr may suit you better
- You want an audio-reactive visualizer: bars, waveforms, particles and backgrounds that move with the sound.
- You publish DJ mixes or long sets: its Unlimited plan renders up to 120 minutes.
- You want to design the look by hand: font, color, position and size of the lyrics, your logo and backgrounds, with a live preview.
Many artists can use both: Specterr for the visualizer of a mix and TONTRIA for the lyric video from the link, the Canvas and the clips. The fairest test is the same song in both: Specterr has a free plan with a watermark, and TONTRIA gives 30 credits without a card. For visualizer ideas, read how to make a visualizer for a song. Frequently asked questions
How much does Specterr cost?
As of October 23, 2026, Specterr’s pricing page lists three plans. Free: 1 video a day, 720p at 30 fps, up to 5 minutes, with a watermark, and videos expire after 10 days. Pro: USD 29 a month, or USD 16.50 a month billed yearly (USD 198), with 5 videos a month (60 a year on the yearly plan), 1080p at 60 fps and up to 10 minutes. Unlimited: USD 79 a month, or USD 49 a month billed yearly (USD 588), with unlimited videos, 4K at 60 fps and up to 120 minutes. It also offers a single video without watermark, up to 10 minutes.
Does Specterr sync the lyrics automatically?
Its lyric video page, checked on October 23, 2026, describes typing or pasting the lyrics and setting the time stamps yourself in the lyric editor, with drag and drop on a timeline. TONTRIA Clips takes the synced lyrics from the song link, or transcribes the singing when the song has no lyrics online, so you only review them.
Is TONTRIA cheaper than Specterr?
For lyric videos, usually yes. A 3½-minute lyric video in TONTRIA uses about 4 credits (1 credit = 1 minute processed), and the Creator plan gives 150 credits for USD 10 a month (USD 7 billed yearly), shared with the Canvas and the clips. Specterr’s Pro plan is USD 29 a month for 5 videos. If you need audio-reactive visualizers for long DJ mixes in volume, Specterr’s Unlimited plan is built for that.
Can TONTRIA make an audio-reactive visualizer like Specterr?
No. TONTRIA animates the cover (still, floating, vinyl or CD) with particles, grain and the synced lyrics. Bars, waveforms and backgrounds that react to the sound are what Specterr does best.
Who makes Specterr?
The footer of Specterr’s website, checked on October 23, 2026, reads “© 2026 Tunebat LLC”.
What app can I use instead of Specterr?
If you want the lyric video with the lyrics already synced, the Spotify Canvas and vertical clips from your shows in one account, TONTRIA Clips does it from your song link, with 30 free credits and no card. If you want an audio-reactive visualizer or a long DJ-mix video, Specterr is the closer fit.
