Lyric video templates that sync to your song by themselves

Pick one of 8 animated templates — or describe the look in a sentence — paste a Spotify or YouTube link, and TONTRIA Video Lyrics puts every line of your song in time. No timeline, no keyframes, no After Effects.

The free plan includes 30 credits to start, no card needed.

How it works

From a link to a finished lyric video

  1. Paste the song

A Spotify or YouTube link, or upload the audio or the music video. TONTRIA takes the cover and finds the synced lyrics, or transcribes the singing.

  2. Open the Pro editor and pick a template

In the Pro tab of your lyric video, choose one of the 8 templates. The preview plays with your song and your lyrics, not a placeholder.

  3. Adjust or just ask

Change the background, colors, font, size and position — or write what you want, like “big yellow lyrics over the official video”, and the AI applies it.

  4. Export

Landscape 16:9 for YouTube, vertical 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, or square 1:1. What you see in the preview is what you export.

The 8 templates

  • Motion — kinetic typography: each line is a block of big type and the words jump in as they’re sung. For energetic songs and over the music video.
  • Karaoke — the line fills with the accent color word by word, and the next one waits below. The clearest for singing along.
  • Big — one huge word at a time, centered, with the full line small underneath. Made for vertical clips with a lot of energy.
  • List — the whole lyrics in a column that scrolls by itself, with the cover beside it, like the lyrics view of a music app.
  • Editorial — elegant serif lines aligned to the left, with magazine-style labels. For ballads, acoustic and singer-songwriter releases.
  • Vinyl — a record spinning with the cover as the sleeve and the lyrics on the side.
  • CD — a jewel case and a disc spinning. A 2000s look for throwbacks and anniversaries.
  • Cassette — a tape with turning reels and typewriter lyrics. Lo-fi, demos and bedroom-pop.

Or describe it in one sentence

You don’t have to pick a template by hand. In Ask the AI, write what you imagine — “physical look: a spinning vinyl with the cover and the lyrics on the side” or “vertical for Reels, karaoke at the bottom in the safe zone, simple font” — and it chooses the template, animation, background, colors and font for you. Whatever you leave out, it decides.

Templates you download vs. templates that sync themselves

Template packs for After Effects, Premiere or DaVinci Resolve give you a designed project, but you still type every line and move each one to the right moment by hand — usually the longest part of the job. In TONTRIA the sync is automatic: the lyric video maker uses the published synced lyrics when they exist or transcribes the singing, and you only fix the odd word. If you already have a vertical video and want lyrics on top, the karaoke and lyric editor does it by asking in plain words.

Rights: use these templates with songs you own or have permission to promote. The previews on this page use demo lyrics written by TONTRIA.

Lyric video templates: questions

Are these lyric video templates free?

You can use all 8 on the free plan: 30 credits once, no card — about seven lyric videos of three and a half minutes, exported up to 720p with a small TONTRIA watermark. Creator (USD 10 a month) removes the watermark and exports in 1080p; Pro and Label go up to 4K. The templates don’t cost extra: you pay the same credits as any lyric video. See the pricing page.

Do I need After Effects, Premiere or CapCut to use them?

No. They aren’t project files to download and edit by hand: the template runs inside TONTRIA, which syncs every line and word to the song on its own. You only check the lyrics and export. If you’d rather do it by hand in CapCut, here is how to make a lyric video in CapCut.

How do I make a lyric video that looks like Spotify’s lyrics screen?

Choose the List template: the full lyrics in a column that scrolls as the song plays, the line being sung in front and the rest dimmed, with the cover next to it — the look of the lyrics view in a music app. Pick Color as the background for a solid tone, or keep the blurred cover. It’s an original template made by TONTRIA, not a copy of Spotify’s or Apple Music’s design, and it doesn’t use their logos.

Can I use a template over my own music video?

Yes. Upload the official video and choose it as the background; the lyrics go on top, with the darken and blur you set. Motion and Karaoke work especially well over footage.

Which template is best for TikTok and Reels?

Big (one huge word at a time) and Karaoke (the line fills as it’s sung) read best on a phone. Export in 9:16 and turn on the safe zone so the app buttons don’t cover the lyrics.

Can I change the font and colors of a template?

Yes. Each template comes with the font that suits it best, and you can switch to any of the 220+ fonts on paid plans (20 on Free), set the text and accent colors, size, position, film grain and dark edges.
