Turn your studio sessions into behind-the-scenes clips
The footage you record while you make the song is the best content before a release. Upload the session, a rehearsal or the making-of and TONTRIA finds the moments worth sharing, reframes them to vertical and adds captions.
The free plan includes 30 credits to start, no card needed.
From a session on your phone to a week of posts
Film the session
Your phone is enough. Horizontal or vertical, any length: a recording take, a rehearsal, the producer talking, you listening back.
Upload the file
TONTRIA transcribes what is said and sung and finds the moments that work on their own. The language is detected automatically.
Ask for what you need
Use the shortcuts: the chorus or hook, the story behind a song, an announcement. Or write it: “when we find the guitar part”.
Add captions and post
Pick a caption style, trim each clip, check the draft hook and titles, and export in 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
Six kinds of clips a session can give you
You don’t need to stage anything. These moments already happen in the studio.
A take of the hook
Fifteen to thirty seconds of the line you want people to remember, with karaoke captions.
The producer explaining a choice
Why that sound, why that chord. Spoken moments work well with captions.
Listening back
The reaction when the mix finally works.
The idea that became the song
A voice note or a first demo, next to the finished version.
The announcement
The moment you say the release date, ready for the countdown.
A short making-of
Cut a ten-minute session into several short pieces instead of one long video.
Why behind-the-scenes works before a release
People follow artists for the songs and stay for the process. A session clip tells them the song exists, shows how it was made and gives them a reason to be there on release day. It also costs very little: the footage is already there.
The problem is time. Nobody wants to scrub through forty minutes of takes looking for ten good seconds. That is the part TONTRIA does for you.
How to film so the clips come out well
- Light the face. A window or a lamp in front of you is enough. A dark face is hard to reframe and hard to watch.
- Keep the phone still or on a stand, with the singer in the middle of the frame.
- Record the talk too. The stories between takes are often the best spoken clips.
- Say the date. If you announce the release in the session, ask for “announcement” and you’ll have it ready.
Tip: keep one session per week in the month before the release. The same song then appears in different moments, which helps it stick.

Studio session clips: questions
Which app turns studio footage into behind-the-scenes clips?
TONTRIA Clips. Upload the session, rehearsal or making-of as you filmed it, even on a phone: it transcribes what is said and sung, finds the moments that work on their own (a take of the hook, the producer explaining a choice, the release date), reframes them to 9:16 and adds karaoke captions. You get 30 credits to start, one time, no card needed (1 credit = 1 minute processed).
Can I use footage filmed on my phone?
Yes. Upload the file as it is. Vertical or horizontal, TONTRIA reframes it to 9:16 and follows the face of whoever is singing or talking.
Does it work if the audio is not studio quality?
TONTRIA transcribes the speech and singing it hears. In a noisy room some words can come out wrong, so check the captions and fix any word before exporting.
Is it a good idea to post unreleased music?
It is your decision. A few seconds of the hook can build expectation; the full song is better saved for the release. See the pre-release teaser campaign for a day-by-day plan.
How many clips can I get from one session?
You choose how many to ask for, up to 20 per video, and how long they should be. The default is 30 to 90 seconds.
How many credits does it use?
1 credit is 1 minute of video processed. A 15-minute session uses about 15 credits and every clip is included.
