Pre-release teasers

Build hype before the release with a pre-release teaser campaign

The weeks before a song comes out decide how many people are waiting for it. TONTRIA creates the coming soon, release date and countdown pieces from your song link, and cuts teaser clips from your rehearsals, sessions and music video.

The free plan includes 30 credits to start, no card needed.

How it works

A teaser campaign in four steps

  1. Paste the song link or upload the files

A Spotify or YouTube link, or the cover and audio if the song isn’t out yet.

  2. Set the release date

The coming soon, release date, 3 days, 2 days, tomorrow and today pieces are written for you; edit any text.

  3. Cut teaser clips

Upload a rehearsal, a studio session or the music video and ask for the hook. Each teaser comes vertical, with captions.

  4. Schedule the weeks before

Download each piece in story, post and square formats, and follow the checklist below day by day.

What you get

Every pre-release piece, in the same look

Coming soon and release date

The announcement pieces, as images or animated videos with a fragment of the song.

Countdown

3 days left, 2 days left, tomorrow and today, ready for stories.

Teaser clips

10–20 second vertical clips of the hook from any video you already have, with karaoke captions.

Lyric snippet

A vertical lyric video of the chorus, so people learn the line before release day.

One visual identity

Every piece uses the cover, fonts and colors of the release, so the campaign looks like one campaign.

Three formats

Story 9:16, post 4:5 and square 1:1 for every piece.

Why a teaser campaign matters

A song released without warning has one day to be noticed. A song that was announced, teased and counted down has two weeks of chances: people see the cover, hear a few seconds of the hook, pre-save it, and come back when it is out. Release day stops being a single post and becomes the end of a story your followers have been watching.

The work is what stops most artists: eight different pieces in three formats, plus teaser clips, all matching the same look. That is the part TONTRIA takes off your hands.

Free pre-release checklist

Copy this list and tick it off. R = release day. The full day-by-day calendar is in the free release content calendar.

  • R-21 to R-14: cover art final, release date confirmed with your distributor, pre-save link ready.
  • R-14: “coming soon” piece in feed and stories (cover detail + title).
  • R-12: release date piece; pin it to your profile.
  • R-10: the story behind the song, as a short video to camera.
  • R-7: first teaser clip, 10–20 seconds of the hook.
  • R-5: second teaser from a different moment (studio, rehearsal, a shot from the video).
  • R-3, R-2: countdown pieces + a vertical lyric snippet of the chorus.
  • R-1: “tomorrow” + a short message to camera; Canvas uploaded in Spotify for Artists.
  • R: “today”, then out now pieces, the lyric video and your first full clip.

Tip: don’t give the whole chorus away in teasers. Use the first line of the hook, cut before the payoff, and let release day deliver the rest.

Pre-release teasers: questions

Which app makes the teaser and countdown posts before a song comes out?

TONTRIA Clips. From the song link (or the cover and the audio, if it isn't out yet) it makes the coming soon, release date, 3 days, 2 days, tomorrow and today pieces in story, post and square formats, and cuts 10–20 second teaser clips of the hook from a rehearsal, a session or the music video. Every text can be edited. 30 credits to start, one time, no card needed.

How do I make a teaser video for a song with AI, for Instagram or YouTube?

Paste the link or upload the rehearsal, session or music video in TONTRIA Clips: the AI finds the hook and cuts 10–20 second vertical (9:16) teasers with captions, ready for Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikTok. The countdown pieces come in story, post and square formats for the Instagram feed and stories. Ideas for what to film are in the teaser ideas guide.

Does the countdown follow my release date?

Yes. Set the date once and each piece (coming soon, release date, 3 days, 2 days, tomorrow, today) is written for its day; edit any text. How far ahead to start, week by week, is in the song teaser ideas guide.

What should a song teaser show?

A short piece of the hook — enough to remember, not the whole chorus — plus the date. Teasers from a rehearsal or the studio feel personal; a shot from the music video feels like an event. Save the full chorus for release day.

Can I make teasers before the song is on Spotify?

Yes. Upload the cover and the audio yourself and fill in the title, artist and date. When the song is out, you can create the out-now pieces from the Spotify link.

Is there a free plan?

Yes: 30 credits to start (one time, no card needed), exports up to 720p with a watermark. Paid plans start at USD 10 a month. See pricing.
